Events & Activities:
Flatwoods City Park
The B.F. Crager Community Park is located adjacent to the City Building at 2513 Reed Street and feaures:
- A walking track with fitness stations
- Playground equipment
- Public basketball courts for public use
- Public picnic shelters (these can be reserved for special events)
- A large amphitheatre available for events throughout the year
- A gazebo
- An authentic log cabin in the process of restoration
- Public restrooms (open during normal business hours)
The park closes nightly at 10:00 pm
2011 Events
- April 23rd, 2011: Annual Flatwoods City Easter Egg Hunt.
Easter Egg Hunt will be in the City Park Saturday, April 23rd at 1 pm This event is for Toddlers - 3rd Graders.
- May 30th, 2011: Memorial Day Program beginning at 12 pm.
- October 29th, 2011: Flatwoods Annual Homecoming: Events begin at 7am with a Pancake Breakfast at Advance Methodist Church.
- Parade at 12 pm featuring the theme "Home is Where the Heart Is"
- Motorcycle, car, tractor shows, and live music
- Log Cabin: Kentucky Historical Museum with Civil War cannon firings, Civil War re-enactment 1-4 pm, music by Larry Pancake and Kentucky Memories
- Vendors
- Activities for children in the park including rock climbing wall and viewing/petting of live llamas
- Haunted House and Treats for the children 6-8 pm (Trick or Treat 6-8 pm)
- November 21st, 2011: Christmas tree lighting and carols at 6:30 pm. Santa will be there for the kids.
- December 3rd, 2011: Christmas Parade beginning at 1 pm featuring the theme "An Old Time Community Christmas".
