Events & Activities:
Flatwoods City Park
The B.F. Crager Community Park is located adjacent to the City Building at 2513 Reed Street and feaures:
- A walking track with fitness stations
- Playground equipment
- Public basketball courts for public use
- Public picnic shelters (these can be reserved for special events)
- A large amphitheatre available for events throughout the year
- A gazebo
- An authentic log cabin in the process of restoration
- Public restrooms (open during normal business hours)
The park closes nightly at 10:00 p.m.
2010 Events
- April 3rd, 2010: Annual Flatwoods City Easter Egg Hunt.
Easter Egg Hunt will be in the City Park Saturday, April 3rd at 1p.m. This event is for Toddlers - 3rd Graders.
- May 31st, 2010: Memorial Day Program beginning at 12pm.
- October 30th, 2010: Flatwoods Annual Homecoming: Events begin at 7am with a pancake breakfast at Advance Methodist Church.
- Parade at 11am
- Motorcycle, car, a DJ, and tractor shows
- Log Cabin: Civil War re-enactment 1-4 pm
- Homemade Apple and Pumpkin Pie Contest with judging at 1 pm
- Vendors
- Activities for children in the park
- Haunted House and Treats for the children 6-8 pm (Trick or Treat 6-8 pm)
- November 29th, 2010: Christmas tree lighting and carols at 6pm. Santa will be there for the kids.
- December 4th, 2010: Christmas Parade beginning at 1pm.
